Semifinalists
The top 10 entries in each category (Adult / Teen / Youth), as scored by our volunteer reviewers, will be posted online at WriteMichigan.org for a public vote to choose the Readers’ Choice winners. These stories also move on to our celebrity judges for determination of the Judges’ Choice awards.
Published Stories
The winning stories in each category (Adult / Teen / Youth), as chosen by the celebrity judges, including the Readers’ Choice winners, will be published by Chapbook Press. Copies will be available in March.
Readers’ Choice
A $250 cash prize will be awarded to the story in each category that receives the most public votes.
Runners-Up
A $250 cash prize will be awarded to each of the three Judges’ Choice Runners-Up in each category (Adult / Teen / Youth).
First Place
A $500 cash prize will be awarded to the Judges’ Choice winner in each category (Adult / Teen / Youth).
